Le Ambiance
Perch was a collaboration of a handful of visionaries.  With developer Jeffrey Fish building three additional stories atop his Pershing Square Building and Rachel Thomas seeing the design through to the final stages.  Thus creating an atmosphere reflective of the bohemian and whimsical approach to the collaborative design process. 

Le Food
The menu at Perchconsists of classic French dishes with a fun and approachable twist. Our talented Chef Benjamin Udave, formally of The Jonathan Club is taking this classical cuisine and updating it with a playful new approach and techniques. The menu will be both inspired and delicious consisting of items that are meant to be shared and meals that stand boldly alone all the while building a new and unique dinning experience in the sky.

Culture and History
For many visitors to Abu Dhabi, sightseeing is top of the agenda. The city offers a fascinating mix of historic sites, sporting venues, fun attractions and cultural pursuits. The beautiful Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Mosque, with its imposing white domes – visible from the hotel – should not be missed, and for an insight into the history of Abu Dhabi, visit Al Maqtaa Fort  and the Emirates Heritage Village.

Oh. You need more? Okay, then. The Washington School House is an iconic historic landmark located in Park City, Utah. Nearing completion of a total interior renovation (think gutted to the studs), this fabulously preserved 1889 limestone gem will reopen in December 2011. The concept? Simple, really. To provide a level of chic sophistication to a discerning traveler that is outside the box. Literally, since our hotel isn’t in a box. It is in a re-purposed, architecturally revered building. This one-of-kind discriminating attitude applies to everything – down to those aforementioned studs. We got lucky. The building is fantastic. We made it a little more fantastic by terracing an outdoor pool/spa into the hillside. And let’s talk about the location. In the heart of historic Park City, basking in mountain-urban swank of remarkable dining, shopping and après-ski all within blocks. The design of the twelve suites and rooms – unrivaled. The finishes? Exceptional. We particularly LOVE the reclaimed oak barn wood floors, locally quarried Utah quartzite, and mountain ice-white marble in the baths. The furnishings you ask? We have curated a collection of European antiques, vintage modern paintings, crystal chandeliers, silver flatware and serving pieces and… took a little time to create a few custom pieces of our own. Not that you’re ever going to want to leave us, but in the rare case you must… we have a few ideas. If it’s cold, think snow – as in snow ski, snowboard, snow tube, snowmobile, snowshoe. You can also fly-fish, ice skate, or catch a ride in a sleigh, hot air balloon, helicopter or luge (you know, the usual modes of transportation). If it’s warm – swim, bike, hike. Bobsled, fish, hunt. Golf, run, ride (horse, boat, jet ski, kayak, river raft). There are also big-city caliber museums, galleries, spas, salons, dining and shopping all within walking distance in our awesome little town. Okay, so maybe that was more than a few ideas. We’re not trying to get rid of you. Honestly. Blame Park City for all your options. Or, ignore them all and sit by the fire in the lounge, or in the pool on the back terrace or in your bed with the Pratesi linens. Tough choice, we know.

Hotelier Avi Brosh Returns with Palihotel Melrose Avenue, Opening in February

Three years after opening his stylish extended-stay hotel, Palihouse Holloway in West Hollywood, and over a year after ceding his vision for Palihouse Hollywood to Sam Nazarian's SBE empire, Los Angeles hotelier Avi Brosh is once again back on top with the Palihotel on Melrose Avenue opening in February 2012.
The 32-room boutique hotel is envisioned as a "European neighborhood inn" which is quite the opposite of the Palihouse Holloway, specifically regarding the size of the guestrooms. Where Palihouse rooms start at 600-sq.ft., the rooms at Palihotel will measure about 250-sq.ft. and come in Twin or Queen categories.
And while rooms at Palihouse have little kitchenettes, guests at the Palihotel will instead head down to the Palikitchen, a coffee shop/cafe that will service breakfast, lunch and dinner in a self-service format.
Of course, the trade-off is that rooms at the Palihotel will be crazy affordable, starting at $150 a night.

Yet that doesn't mean Brosh will skimp on design and detail here. Walls will be a deep, dark green, custom-made furniture will be found throughout the property and the guest rooms will have fabrics mixed with brass, cork and other rustic details. In-room products will be signature to the brand but the minibars will be stocked with Dean & Deluca goodies.
The hotel will also feature an outdoor garden with a lounge area, a seven-bed Thai massage spa and a blow-out salon open to hotel guests and locals.
But the best thing about Palihotel, is it's location, literally steps away from great shopping on Melrose Avenue. Fred Segal is two blocks in one direction, Fairfax Ave is two blocks in the other direction and The Grove shopping center is just a mile south. Finally, we have an affordable, non-sketchy, convenient yet design-forward and fun option in the middle of Los Angeles, something this part of the city has so desperately needed.

812 designer rooms

Bella Sky Comwell’s ultramodern Scandinavian design permeates all of the 812 unique rooms, all of which are decorated with designer furniture and equipped with individual ceiling to floor windows in varying trapezoidal forms, providing spectacular light in every single room.

All rooms feature: air conditioning, free wireless internet, an advanced radio and TV system with video-on-demand, mini-bar, tea and coffee facilities, safety box, hairdryer, and 24-hour room service.

Bella Sky Comwell is a non-smoking hotel and thus all 812 rooms are non-smoking rooms. Allergy-friendly rooms are available by request.

The Balcony

Style, atmosphere and Danish design mark A la carte Restaurant on the Mezzanine level.
The restaurant, which has room for 92 guests, has an open kitchen with a view to the renowned Molteni stove, so guests can watch as the chefs work in the kitchen.

Bar and lounge

Sky Bar is Bella Sky Comwell’s exclusive bar and lounge. Sky Bar is located on the 23rd floor and has a fantastic view of Copenhagen’s skyline, Amager Common, the Oresund Bridge and Sweden, which can be seen off in the distance to the east.

With champagne, caviar and cocktails as the main elements of the menu, Sky Bar is the more luxurious choice. At Sky Bar we strive to deliver indulgence and an exclusive experience that you can enjoy in a relaxed or festive atmosphere, depending on your preference.

Kitchen and bar

Sky Bar offers exclusive experiences from the early morning, beginning with breakfast for our guests on the top five floors. The menu is traditional and features many wonderful homemade products.

For lunch and dinner, Sky Bar is open to all and the menu features delicious seafood dishes. The dishes are cold yet delicate and contain everything from oysters and caviar to lobster and salmon.

In the later evening hours, Sky Bar serves cocktails and effervescent champagne that can be enjoyed with beautiful views as a backdrop. You can also order wine, beer, spirits, bitters, soft drinks, coffee and tea from our traditional drinks menu.

Decoration

The name Sky Bar itself indicates that we are in the heavens, and the colours at Sky Bar are also inspired by the colours of the sky; from the beautiful yellow-orange colours of the morning sun and the blue summer sky, to the dark and black colours of night. 

At Sky Bar you can also experience the famous PH piano that is the bar’s icon and creates a fantastic atmosphere for special occasions on the 23rd floor.

6:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.: Breakfast, served or from the buffet. Only for guests staying on the hotel's top five floors. Champagne brunch available on weekends.
 
12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.: Lunch with table service. Open to all. Large selection of cold seafood dishes, caviar and a simple charcuterie platter.

6:00 p.m. - 09:30 p.m.: Dinner with table service. Open to all. Large selection of cold seafood dishes, caviar and a simple charcuterie platter.

10:30 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.: Bar with “counter” service. Open to all. DJ plays on selected days. Large selection of drinks. Focus on cocktails & snacks.
